Katherine Pace, J.D.

Paralegal

Katie joined the Nyquist Law Group in the fall of 2023, alongside her beloved border collie, Rosie. Born and raised in Alaska, she obtained her BA in English Literature at the University of Alaska Anchorage, in 2015, and participated in several post-graduate courses and seminars with UAA’s graduate program. She developed her passion for legal studies while working at Pace Law Offices, LLC, assisting with personal injury litigation for several years. Katie later obtained her Juris Doctor at Willamette School of Law in 2022, where she interned for the Community and Environmental Justice Center in Salem, Oregon, and primarily focused on advocating for environmental rights and tribal communities in both Southeast Alaska and Oregon. After law school, Katie accepted a year-long clerkship with the Anchorage District Court where she mediated over 50 small claims cases. As a lifelong Alaskan, Katie values the close-knit nature of our States’ communities and brings a practical, compassionate approach to her work. She appreciates the importance of helping clients feel informed, heard, and supported as they navigate the complexity of the legal process. Outside of work, Katie is often found in a quiet corner with a book or out on adventures with Rosie.
